Sand Mountain Amphitheater to Host Spirit of the South Festival

ALBERTVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – The Sand Mountain Amphitheater (SMPA) will host the Spirit of the South festival with three unique performers this summer.

The festival will feature Blackberry Smoke, Drake White and the Read Southall Band. The event will take place on Friday, June 24 from 6:30 p.m.

Blackberry Smoke shot to fame with six full-length albums, including four consecutive records that went No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album charts. Their most recent album was “Homecoming: Live in Atlanta”, a recording of their annual hometown show.

Hokes Bluff native Drake White and Oklahoma-born Read Southall Band will join Blackberry Smoke for the tour.

Tickets go on sale Friday, March 18 at 10 a.m. here. Lawn tickets start at $39 plus fees while standing room, early-entry tickets start at $64 plus fees.
