San Jose State Spartans lose to Toledo Rockets at pick six

San Jose State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro threw his first interception of the season Saturday and it couldn’t have been more costly.
The pick, Cordeiro’s first on 117 passes, came in the fourth quarter and was returned 25 yards for a touchdown, sending the Spartans to a 21-17 loss at Toledo.
SJSU is off to a 1-3 start, its worst through four games since 2018, and it won’t get any easier next week. The Spartans play Friday night against Air Force, who improved to 3-0 on Saturday.
The Spartans led 17-7 in the third quarter.
