Sam Bankman-Fried took risks at FTX. Will he bet on his own testimony?

Founder of FTX Sam Bankman-Friedknown for his appetite for risky bets, is considering perhaps his biggest gamble: testifying in his own defense.

The former crypto star, on trial in New York on allegations of fraud, money laundering and other crimes, spent nearly three weeks watching some of his former close friends and colleagues take the stand and offer which seemed to be damning testimony. Bankman-Fried, jurors were told, knowingly directed and committed a series of criminal acts that led to the collapse of crypto exchange FTX and the loss of billions of dollars of customer funds.
