Shane Warne’s children, Jackson and Brooke, honored their late father by tossing the coin ahead of the game for St Kilda’s first clash with Collingwood.
The cricketing legend’s two children, who died of a heart attack in Thailand earlier this month, have been called upon by the Saints to do the honors in the draw.
The Australian sporting hero was a well-known AFL fan and longtime St Kilda supporter.

As well as cricket, he played Australian rules growing up and even once lined up for the Saints Under-19s.
Jackson, 21, tossed the coin at Marvel Stadium, alongside his 24-year-old sister Collingwood winning the toss.
“He (Warne) was a dedicated man from St Kilda, it’s great to see his children here,” Brian Taylor said in a commentary for Seven.
“It’s great to see them smiling.”
Warne’s close friend, former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan, was also present.
“It’s not what I would have liked to come back to Australia for what is going to be such a sad occasion, but this is the Warnie team,” Vaughan told Fox Footy.
“Watching St Kilda play at Collingwood, I know (Warne) had booked cards for that game.
“Being here for my first AFL game, seeing Jackson toss the coin – it’s going to be emotional but also a celebration of the life of a great person.”
In honor of Warne, Saints players wore warm-up tops with the name and number “Warne 23”.
The Marvel Stadium turf will be painted with Warne’s number 23, along with 708, his wickets taken from the Test tier.
Players will also wear black armbands.
“Warnie was a great Saints man who loved this footy club,” Saints captain Jack Steele said earlier in the week.
“It’s a privilege to be able to represent Shane on the pitch and I hope we do, and all Saints fans will be proud.”
