Safeway shooting in Bend, Oregon followed suspect’s threatening messages

Customers and an employee of a Safeway in Bend, Oregon took heroic action in an attempt to stop a mass shooter. But how did the police miss the alarming string of online posts from the shooter?

Jason and Molly Taroli were walking through the frozen food section of their Safeway store in Bend, Oregon, to grab pizza for dinner when they heard gunshots in the parking lot.

They took action. As people panicked and began to disperse, Molly pulled a gun from her purse and stood guard at the back door as she ushered customers out. Jason ran out the front door to retrieve a gun from his truck.
