Bournemouth strike a deal to sign Celtic midfielder Ryan Christie.
The 26-year-old became a free agent on January 1 and recently turned down a new contract offer from the Parkhead club.
Premier League side Burnley were also in talks with Celtic over a deal for Christie, but it looks like Scott Parker’s side will win the race for his signing.
Christie is currently part of the Scotland squad that flies to Denmark for their World Cup qualification on Tuesday, which means it is likely he would pass a medical exam in Edinburgh before flying away for Copenhagen.
Christie joined Celtic from Inverness Caledonian Thistle in 2015 and scored 42 goals for the club.
Asked about the future of Christie and striker Odsonne Edouard earlier this month, Hoops manager Ange Postecoglou said: “I will be happy if they all stay.
“I have already said that I am not going to convince anyone to stay but they are quality players.
“Odsonne and Ryan are the ones people talk about the most and they’ve both been fantastic since I arrived.
“It’s about their attitude and the way they train. If they stay, great, but I also know these are decisions for them.
“They know what’s best for their career and their life.
“If they happen to go in that window, then they’re doing it in the best possible way. They’ve given everything for the jersey here.”
