rsenal goalkeeper Alex Runarsson hopes to complete his loan move to Turkish side Alanyaspor in the next 24 hours.

Runarsson, who joined Arsenal in 2020 from Dijon for around £1m, has slipped down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.

The keeper spent last season on loan at Oud-Heverlee Leuven and was told this summer he could be out again.

The strongest interest in Runarsson has always been from Turkey this summer, with Antalyaspor keen to sign him as well.

Alanyaspor, however, have edged them out, a deal to take Runarsson there for the season on loan is close to being finalized.

It is hoped a move can be completed in the next 24 hours or so as Arsenal have continued to downsize their squad this summer.

Goalkeeper Bernd Leno also left the club earlier this summer for Fulham, with Matt Turner as the new No.2.
