Donald Trump’s longtime political ‘dirty trickster’ and staunch ally Roger Stone was recorded cursing Trump and referencing Ivanka Trump with an expletive after failing to secure a preemptive clemency from the White House for its activities on January 6 of last year.
In documentary footage released Friday by Danish filmmaker Christoffer Guldbrandsen, Stone can be seen on a cellphone, declaiming what he imagines saying to the incumbent president for refusing to grant him a second pardon: “Fuck you.”
Stone also slams Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner in the footage, saying he “has an IQ of 70.”
“Apart from Donald Trump, [Stone] also held Jared Kushner responsible as the guy who was the point man for grace,” Guldbrandsen told The Daily Beast.
Kushner is “coming to Miami,” Stone says over the phone in the video. “We’re going to kick him out of Miami very quickly; he will leave very quickly. Very quickly. It has 100 security guards. I will have 5,000 security guards. You want to fight, let’s fight. Kiss my ass. Fuck you and your abortionist slut daughter.
Stone made the call in a car in Fort Lauderdale on Joe Biden’s inauguration day last year, when Trump no longer had the power to forgive anyone. It is unclear who he is talking to in the footage.
The music video is from Guldbrandsen’s documentary “A Storm Foretold” about the events leading up to last year’s Capitol Riot. The Jan. 6 House panel investigating the Capitol attack subpoenaed the footage, according to the filmmaker.
He told The Daily Beast there was “no doubt” that Stone was referring to Ivanka Trump as an “abortive slut” in the tape. The former first daughter was an odd target for Stone, as she firmly declared herself in a 2020 interview “pro-life, and unapologetically.”
Stone, who opposes abortion, claims to respect life – although in other footage he advocates killing people over the 2020 election results.
“Fuck the vote; let’s get straight to the violence,” Stone says in a music video the filmmaker released last month. “Shoot to kill. See an antifa? Shoot to kill. Fuck ’em. Done with that bullshit.
The filmmaker told the Washington Post that spending nearly three years with Stone and his pals convinced him and his team that the 2020 presidential election and January 6, 2021, uprising marked the “beginning of a anti-democratic movement in the United States”.
Guldbrandsen said Stone erupted when he learned he would not get a Jan. 6 clemency from Trump. He had “awaited a pardon until the very last minute. He had drafted a memo earlier after Jan. 6 with a plan to encourage Trump to forgive lawmakers who voted against certification, as well as Roger Stone and some of his clients,” the official added. filmmaker.
Stone faced no charges for Jan. 6 when he ranted on the phone — and Trump had already granted him a pardon earlier.
In 2019, Stone was found guilty of seven crimes, including obstructing justice and tampering with witnesses, during the investigation into Kremlin interference in the 2016 presidential election. He was sentenced to 40 months in prison .
Stone said he expected a pardon in the case because he was silent on damaging information about Trump.
The then-president publicly praised Stone for not “knocking it down” and commuted his sentence before it even started in the summer of 2020. Trump later pardoned Stone shortly before leaving the White House.
Stone is currently under investigation for insurgency-related activities. The night before Trump supporters stormed the Capitol, he urged the crowd to “fight on”, warning they were in a battle between “the pious and the ungodly” and “the good and the evil “.
He previously urged Trump to call in the military and take power if Trump loses the 2020 election.
Stone could not be reached for comment on Guldbrandsen’s footage. He claimed that earlier documentary video clips of him talking about littering were “deep fakes”.
