Return Joel Embiid to Toronto

Three potentially game-changing NBA playoff games fill Thursday’s card and The Action Network’s Monique (The Parlay Queen) has two best bets to share (video above).

The first bet that interested Monique on the card was a player prop for Game 6 between the Philadelphia 76ers and Toronto Raptors. In this competition, she supports Joel Embiid over 27.5 points.

Embiid has struggled lately, averaging just 20.5 points in games four and five. But before these competitions, he had exceeded 30 points in the second and third games.

For Monique, she thinks Embiid is a good candidate to top her point total based on her shot production alone.

“[Embiid] has a huge advantage over an undersized roster of Raptors,” Monique says. “On top of that, I have every reason to believe his shot attempts will be in the 20s.”

So far this streak, Embiid has attempted at least 15 shots in every game and averaged nearly 10 trips to the charity strip. For these reasons, Monique believes Embiid has a huge game and is recovering from (relatively) disappointing performances in the last two games.

For her second game, Monique turns west for Game 6 between the Dallas Mavericks and Utah Jazz, with the latter needing to win to avoid elimination. In this competition, Monique supports the first half total less than 108.5 points.

As for why she prefers the first half to the total game, it comes down to the fact that Monique thinks these teams are tied and wants to protect against overtime. But beyond that, Monique believes there are other reasons to love a penny.

“The Mavericks and Jazz are playing at a slow pace – the Mavericks rank last in the league in possessions/game while Utah has just two more per game, which puts them 24th,” Monique said.

Plus, she expects a league-best Mavs scoring defense to limit the Jazz early, especially in a high-stakes situation.
