Restaurant terrace collapses with more than 40 people

SODDY DAISY, Tennessee (WDEF) – A birthday party at Zoi’s Restaurant in Harbor Lights Marina turned tragic this afternoon.

More than 40 people were on the restaurant’s deck when it collapsed.

Several agencies responded to the scene.

Officials say Hamilton County EMS has dispatched 5 ambulances and 5 supervisors to the scene.

11 people were taken to hospital, two of them with serious injuries.

The damage is unknown at this time.

Hamilton County building codes have been notified and will inspect the deck for the cause of the collapse.
