Republicans to use ‘racist straight-out’ dog whistles at midterm

MSNBC host Al Sharpton said Friday on “Deadline” that Republicans will use “racist whistles” in the midterm elections.

Guest host Alicia Menendez said, “Let’s just talk about what Jackson’s audiences are telling us about the midterm battles, issues and stereotypes they’ve repeatedly tried to exploit here. Portraying Democrats, portraying Judge Jackson as soft on crime, bringing up abortion and racist baby books, trying to victimize themselves by citing previous Supreme Court hearings. Do you have any questions about what the midterm fight will look like after what we watched this week?

Sharpton said: “It’s very clear that they’re going to use all kinds of dog whistles and probably just racist whistles. When you try to ask a Supreme Court nominee about critical race theory, when you try to criminalize her by saying she’s soft on crime, which is always a stereotype that they put on black people whether we are either criminals or we are somehow in the company of criminals or a co-conspirator. You think this woman was somehow complicit with the criminals getting out of prison. This is how they are going to play the midterm elections, how they are criminals, how we have to deal with critical race theory. They do it all over the country.
