Republicans can flip any seat Biden won by 12 points

Rep. Tom Emmer (R-NC), chairman of the Republican National Congressional Committee (NRCC), told Breitbart News in an exclusive interview on Tuesday that Republicans can topple any seat won by President Joe Biden by 12 points. or less.

As President Joe Biden’s approval rating continues to plummet to a personal low, Emmer believes more seats continue to open up for Republicans to take over in the congressional midterm elections. of 2022.

The NRCC chairman noted that the Cook Political Report and the University of Virginia Center for Politics changed their ratings in favor of Republicans on several races.

Emmer explained that most presidents lose dozens of seats in their first midterm election; however, he said that with Biden’s historically poor poll numbers, Republicans remain poised to win up to 37 seats.

“Historically, the president’s party typically loses 27 seats mid-term. When the president’s approval rating drops below 50% — and Joe Biden’s, depending on what you look at, his approval rating is down in the low to mid-30s. When it’s below 50% , that number averages out to 37 seats,” Emmer said, noting that Republicans only need to win four seats outright to secure a majority.

Emmer’s claim appears to be backed up by Cook House editor David Wasserman, who said Republicans would likely win between 20 and 35 seats in the November election.

A generic Republican candidate outperformed a generic Democrat by eight points, according to a Rasmussen Reports poll released last Friday.

Many secure Democrats who have been in power for decades now even look vulnerable. Emmer told Rep. Sanford Bishop (D-GA), who represents Georgia’s Second Congressional District, a district he’s held for 29 years, to “retire or lose.”

As Policy noted, Democrats were already defending 30 districts, and now Republicans have moved on to contest about a dozen more seats across deep blue America:

Emmer pointed out that some of the “most defensive investments” of the House Majority PAC and the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) are in Nevada. Of the three Democrats vying for re-election to the House, all three are ready to play, Emmer said.

Emmer’s said the Republicans’ projected victory in November would result in a strong legislative agenda that would help the average American and put the brakes on the Biden administration.

The Minnesota conservative noted that “future president” and current House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) continues to work on the “Pledge to America” agenda that would address many of the crises unfolding under Biden.

Emmer said Biden’s policies “hit every middle-class American in the gut,” and he said the Republican agenda would alleviate many of those problems.

Emmer said the commitment to America will solve many of these crises, including “whether it’s rising prices and groceries at the gas pump, whether it’s when they s worried about safety on their own streets, in their community, in those big cities that are run by Democrats, those failed cities.

McCarthy explained in an exclusive interview with Breitbart News Washington Bureau Chief Matthew Boyle that the America Pledge would address many issues such as inflation, crime, supply chains, and more.

The Minnesota Republican pointed out that Republicans would have the power to subpoena and could hold the Biden administration accountable, like Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Gary Gensler and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) Director Rohit Chopra.

“These people think they are above the law above the oversight of Congress and they are not. You’ll also likely see some of the truth start to come out on Hunter Biden,” Emmer said.
