Rennes station evacuated following a suspicious package – Rennes

A piece of luggage left around 5:15 p.m. paralyzes the SNCF train station in Rennes. After several calls to the microphone to retrieve luggage on the slab where the shops are located, all those present were evacuated to secure the perimeter. A team of deminers is moving from Nantes and should arrive around 7 p.m. to intervene.

Traffic resumes at 7:30 p.m.

The SNCF “hopes for a resumption of traffic from 7:30 pm” and specifies “that no train is currently parked” in the station. For trains that have stopped in the inner city of Bruz, Cesson Sévigné or Pontchailloux, travelers are invited to get off to finish their journey with the STAR public transport network.
