Three days after its overwhelming success against Gibraltar (14-0), the France team experienced much more difficulty against Greece in Athens, Tuesday November 21 (2-2). The Blues purred and did not find many solutions to break through the Greeks’ five-man defense. Randal Kolo Muani opened the scoring (42nd), but Greece took the lead thanks to Anastasios Bakasetas (56th) and Fotis Ioannidis (61st). It took a personal exploit, a long-range strike from Youssouf Fofana, to allow the French team to equalize (74th). There will therefore be no 8/8 for the Blues in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
