Dolly Parton could be coming to the big screen again with the help of Reese Witherspoon.
The 76-year-old ‘9 to 5’ singer and actress has struck a deal with Witherspoon’s production studio Hello Sunshine to adapt Parton’s novel ‘Run, Rose Run’ into a film centered on the best- seller which Parton co-wrote with James. Patterson.
“James and I love Reese and look forward to working with her and her wonderful team,” Parton said in a statement Monday.

The track co-written by the 11-time Grammy-winning and two-time Oscar-nominated artist is set in Nashville and chronicles the life of a young woman who moves to Music City in hopes of making her dreams come true. reality.
Published March 7 before quickly becoming a New York Times No. 1 bestseller, Parton said she was looking forward to playing the role of a retired country superstar who eventually develops a deep connection to the novel and the protagonist of the film.

Witherspoon recently sold his company to a company backed by private equity giant Blackstone Group Inc., the two companies announced in August.
The companies did not disclose terms of the agreement. People familiar with the matter said it valued Ms Witherspoon’s company, whose production slate included programs such as the HBO drama ‘Big Little Lies’, at around $900 million.
