Redmi Note 13 Pro+ screen specifications confirmed ahead of September 21 launch

Redmi Note 13 Pro+ is expected to launch on September 21 alongside the Redmi Note 13 and Redmi Note 13 Pro. The series will succeed the Redmi Note 12 range, released in 2022. The Chinese manufacturer teased the designs of the Redmi Note 13 models before the launch. Redmi also revealed some key specifications of the upcoming handsets, including details about the camera and processor. In a new teaser, Xiaomi has confirmed the display specifications of the top-end Redmi Note 13 Pro+ model.
According to a Weibo post, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ will come with a curved AMOLED display, which would make it the first model in the Redmi Note series to feature a curved panel. The display will have a resolution of 1.5K, a peak brightness level of 1,300 nits, and a PWM dimming rate of 1,920 Hz.
The screen will also benefit from Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, which is said to have 1.5 times more resistance to drops and scratches than the previous generation glass. Redmi adds that the Note 13 Pro+’s screen will arrive with improved light efficiency, low blue light, no flicker, and more eye protection. As shown in the teasers, the display will feature thin bezels and a narrow 2.37mm chin.
Redmi Note 13 Pro+ has already been spotted on certification site TENAA with a 6.67-inch OLED display and 120Hz refresh rate. The handset has already been announced to be equipped with a Dimensity 7200-Ultra 4 SoC nm from MediaTek. The Note 13 Pro models have also been confirmed to feature a custom 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP3 Discovery Edition camera sensor.
Expected to succeed the Redmi Note 12 Pro+, the Note 13 Pro+ is expected to sport an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, a 2-megapixel macro camera along with an LED flash and a 16-megapixel front camera sensor. It is also expected to pack up to 18GB of RAM and a 4,880mAh battery.
The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ was launched with a 6nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 1080 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging support. It sports a 6.67-inch Full HD 120Hz OLED display (1080 x 2400 pixels). The 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants of the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ were sold in India at Rs. 9,999. 29,999 and Rs. 32,999 at launch, respectively. It comes in Arctic White, Iceberg Blue, and Obsidian Black color options.
