Redmi Note 12 India launch scheduled for March 30: all the details


The Redmi Note 12 series – including Redmi Note 12 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro 5G, Redmi Note 12 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 12 4G and Redmi Note 12S models – is confirmed for a global launch on March 23. The Chinese smartphone company has also confirmed the launch of Redmi Note 12 Turbo, which is slated for release in China on March 28. Now, the Xiaomi-owned company has announced the Indian launch date of the Redmi Note 12, which is expected to debut by the end of this month.

Xiaomi in one Tweeter announced that the Redmi Note 12 smartphone, a 4G device, will be launched in India on March 30. The device’s official landing page confirms a few key specs of the upcoming Redmi smartphone. The phone will feature an AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The details also reveal that it will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 4G SoC and will offer up to 11GB of RAM including virtual RAM.

Like other devices in the Redmi Note 12 lineup, the Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone will also feature a triple rear camera comprising of a 50-megapixel sensor. The company has yet to confirm any further details on the camera setup. Meanwhile, no specifications for the front camera are yet known, except that it will be housed in a center-aligned punch-hole cutout at the top of the screen.

Confirmed to pack a 5,000mAh battery with 33W fast charging support, the Redmi Note 12 has previously been reported to feature a fingerprint scanner on the side, Wi-Fi connectivity dual band, NFC, Bluetooth 5.0 and an IP53 rating.

The report also suggests that the Redmi Note 12 is expected to come in Ice Blue, Mint Green and Onyx Gray color variants, however, the Indian variant was spotted in a gold color option in the official tweet. The Redmi Note 12 4G smartphone was also spotted on the IMEI database with an Indian variant and a global variant in January this year.
