Real estate: notaries are counting on a lasting crisis

The old residential real estate market has suffered a serious slowdown in recent months. And the drop in sales is likely to continue for a while, warn notaries.

“We should land on volumes of between 850,000 and 900,000 annual sales towards the end of 2024”, estimated, Tuesday, Frédéric Violeau, notary in charge of real estate statistics on behalf of the Superior Council of Notaries, on the occasion of the Congress of Mayors of France.
