Ravens eye final big AFLW buyout after taking down Dockers

Adelaide are in their third consecutive AFLW Grand Final, and fourth out of five, having beaten Fremantle by 14 points in the preliminary final.

Underage Premiers Crows kept the brave Dockers at bay throughout the afternoon as the Adelaide Ring crowd erupted when Ashleigh Woodland’s second goal midway through the last mandate sealed the result.

The Dockers dominated possession, with Kiara Bowers (24 eliminations) and Hayley Miller (25) particularly prolific, but their ball movement was constantly stifled by the Crows, who never really looked likely to lose.

They take on Melbourne in next Saturday’s Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval, which will feature two of the AFLW’s most iconic figures, Erin Phillips and Daisy Pearce, as they battle it out for glory in 2022.

The Crows are chasing their third premiership, the Dees their first.
