A year after cornerback Troy Hill left the Los Angeles Rams and joined the Cleveland Browns in free agency, he has returned to his old stomping grounds.
According to Jourdan Rodrigue of The Athleticthe Rams acquired Hill in a trade with the Browns on Saturday in a deal that will send a 2023 fifth-round pick to Cleveland.
Hill, 30, started his career as an undrafted free agent and spent most of his rookie season in 2015 with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots. During the final week of his freshman season, the Rams claimed waivers from Hill and he earned a spot on the final roster a year later. After spending much of his career as a backup with one-time starts, Hill entered the starting lineup full-time in 2020 and finished the year with a pair of six picks.
