Rams fans take to downtown LA streets to celebrate Super Bowl win, LAPD says unlawful assembly

LOS ANGELES (KABC) — Hundreds of Rams fans took to the streets of downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night to celebrate the team’s Super Bowl victory over the Cincinnati Bengals at SoFi Stadium.

The LAPD declared the celebration an unlawful assembly and “issued a dispersal order in the 11th and Hope Street area.”

“Crowds should disperse immediately east on 11th Street from Hope and south on Hope from 11th Street,” the LAPD tweeted.

Video from the scene shows a large crowd of people dancing and celebrating in the street as several cars attempt to cross. At one point, several people were seen jumping on one of the vehicles passing through the area.

Fireworks were also lit in the middle of the street several times during the celebration rally in downtown LA

“We ask those celebrating tonight to celebrate responsibly,” the LAPD said. “Don’t let your actions tarnish a great Super Bowl win.”
