A photographer receiver, Davante Adams, who was allegedly hustled after a ‘Monday Night Football’ game, has filed a lawsuit against the Las Vegas Raiders star.
The Kansas City Chiefs, Raiders, Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark Events Staffing were also named as defendants in the lawsuit, according to Missouri court records.
Park Zebley, a student at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, was accredited and worked for a local production company hired by ESPN to cover the Week 5 game.
As Adams left the field at the end of the game, Zebley appeared to be pushed hard enough that he was knocked down.

Adams was later charged with misdemeanor assault, but Zebley decided to pursue legal action against the NFL star, according to The Kansas City Star.
“One battery charge for a municipal misdemeanor is not enough,” Zebley said in a statement to The Star. “I seek justice. You can’t push someone down and walk away like nothing happened. Not in real life.”

The lawsuit claims that the Chiefs, Jackson County Sports Complex Authority and Landmark events staff “failed to provide the required quantity and quality of on-field security.”
According to court records, Adams is being sued for a battery chief. The Raiders face one count of vicarious liability and ratification and one count of negligent supervision.

The lawsuit also mentioned that Zebley received death threats from Raiders fans after his identity became public shortly after the incident.
“In the days that followed, the media and various Las Vegas Raiders and Adams fans discovered (Zebley’s) identity, circulated his contact information, and issued death threats against him, along with other comments. generally despicable,” the lawsuit reads, via the Star.
“(Zebley) felt concerned for his own safety and sought advice and stayed away from his apartment.”
Dan Curry, an attorney representing Zebley, said his client was seeking compensation for the pain he suffered in the months following the incident.
“We’re at the start, but (Zebley) is seeking compensation for what happened to him, and if a jury has to decide, they’ll decide,” Curry said.

Adams issued an apology in October.
“Sorry to the guy I pushed after the game,” Adams wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “Obviously (I was) very frustrated with the way the game ended and when he ran past me as I was coming out, that was my reaction and I felt awful immediately.”
The NFL didn’t suspend Adams last season, but it’s still unclear if the league will issue any sort of punishment in the future.
