London and the South took a clear lead after Week 1 of Racing League after a remarkable quadruple at Doncaster.

Victories for System, Zabbie, Scampi and Pledge Of Honor secured a maximum of 25 points alongside Matt Chapman in four of Town Moor’s seven contests.

Racing at home, Yorkshire enjoyed their first success with Mattice in race five and added three third-place efforts (15 points each) to move into second place overall.

On their heels were Wales and the West, who used one of their two “Joker” cards to earn double points with Galiac, second in the first race.

London and the South head to Lingfield for the second day of racing, live on Sky Sports Racing on Thursday 11 Augustwith 174 points, ahead of Yorkshire (128) and Wales and The West (125).

Pre-competition favorites the East trail on 55 points, while Scotland (98), Ireland (83) and the North (78) are also in triple digits.
