With the three jockeys still in their twenties, the Rach Horse Lotto team are one of the youngest to enter the Racing League this summer, but the talented trio are showing promising form this season.
Nicola Currie, 28, once again teams up with one of the game’s most exciting young coaches: George Boughey, 29, who has already passed the 50-winner mark in just his third year.
Marco Ghiani, who has been a regular in the top 10 of the Flat Jockeys Championship this season, burst into flames in 2021, asserting his rights and tasting his first Royal Ascot and Listed success aboard Real World.
The trio are made up of the ever-steadfast Danny Muscutt, who has set up winners for each of the team’s three other coaches: James Ferguson, William Knight and Stuart Williams.

Danny Muscutt …
“It’s exciting to do something that has never been done before. It’s a good initiative to change the way races are run.
“The league format gives it that aspect of a Formula One type calendar and I hope it can offer competitive races with a good following of racing fans.”
Commenting on his teammates, Muscutt added: “Marco Ghiani is still a young rider but he has started the year really well, including this Royal Ascot winner, so he brings great form with him.
“He’s probably going to be the team’s smile.
“Nicola Currie is a great rider and has been in fantastic shape for George Boughey. She will be able to provide us with a lot of information.
“I can’t wait to team up with all of these coaches. I have ridden winners for James Ferguson, William Knight and Stuart Williams. They are all great coaches and I can’t wait to ride for them again.”

“He’s quite calm, a little reserved but so kind.
“Nicola Currie has driven a lot for George Boughey and it’s going well.”
