Oh hi, Prince George!
On Saturday February 26, the 8-year-old future heir to the British throne made an unscheduled appearance with his parents Kate Middleton and Prince William during the Guinness Six Nations rugby match between England and Wales at Twickenham Stadium in London.
Dressed in a red and navy Ralph Lauren polo-style puffer jacket, dark trousers and matching shoes, George stood solemnly between his mother and father – the bosses of England Rugby and the Welsh Rugby Union, respectively – and joined them, the players and the rest of the arena spectators at to sing the British national anthem “God Save the Queen”.
The match took place six days after his great-grandmother and William’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth II95, has tested positive for COVID-19, prompting Buckingham Palace to cancel two scheduled virtual court hearings for the monarch, who is fully vaccinated.
George was last seen in public last July when he made a surprise appearance with his parents during the UEFA Euro 2020 football final between Italy and England at Wembley Stadium in London. Later that month, Kate shared a new portrait of the boy in honor of his eighth birthday.
