Legendary trainer Bob Baffert has been persona non grata at the Kentucky Derby in recent years due to suspension following the failure of his 2021 Derby winner, Medina Spirit, to pass a post-race drug test. That three-year ban expires after this season, so he will likely be back at Churchill Downs next year, but the suspension from that incident at the Preakness and Belmont is over, and he has a horse, Imagination, at the Preakness. 149. He trained morning line favorite Muth, who was scratched earlier in the week.
