PRD insists: it will continue in Va por México if there is mutual respect and “a deal between equals”

During Saturday, the national leader of the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), Jesus Zambrano Grijalva insisted that they will continue to be part of the coalition Goes through Mexicoprovided that there istreatment between equals”.

This message adds to the demands of the party after the aztec sun was left out in an alliance statement on the choice of candidates for the elections state of 2023 and those of the capital and presidential government of the 2024.

The selection will be in charge of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) for the elections to the governorships of the State of Mexico and Coahuilawhile the National Action (BREAD) will determine those of the presidency and Mexico City. The PRD, on the other hand, was left out of the decisions, which has caused controversy among the alliance.

Since the PRD has indicated in the past days that the alliance will only be successful if a democratic election is carried out with respect to the selection of candidacies. so he came back to insist that the Va por México coalition should also include civil society together with other political actors to ensure success.

“The selection of candidacies should not be left in the hands of the partisan leaders, much less of a single political party, it must be done under an open, democratic and inclusive method and differentiate ourselves from the presidential finger”

The statements were made during a press conference, within the framework of a work tour in the state of Durango, where he was accompanied by the General Secretariat, Adriana Díaz; the secretary of Organization and Internal Planning, Camerino Márquez; the municipal president of Nombre de Dios, Nancy Vázquez; the state president of the PRD, Miguel Lazalde and local leaders.

There he announced that despite the differences with the other party leaders, they had decided to stay within the alliance but as long as there was a deal between equals.

“We have decided, despite the problems we have had with the members of the coalition, to stay in the coalition, but on the basis of mutual respect and that we give each other equal treatment“said Zambrano Grijalva.

He also stressed that a democratic method should be designed for the election of candidacies for those who contested in the 2024 elections, which should be open, plural and inclusive for the upcoming electoral processes.

On the other hand, he trusted that on the eve of the Anniversary of the Constitution, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) thoroughly analyze the actions of unconstitutionality that the PRD has filed and will file when they finish approving the AMLO Plan B.

Businessman Gustavo de Hoyos Walther, one of the organizers of these groups, considered it serious that the alliance launched its plans without a representation of civil society, since this was one of the promoters of the coalition.
