Policewoman targets colleague with taser and causes accident in Tourcoing – France


Clumsy game, accident and hit and run, it is the inglorious cocktail of northern police officers on the night of Friday 27 to Saturday 28 August. According to facts revealed by The voice of the North, a policewoman targeted one of her colleagues with a taser, causing an accident in a street in Tourcoing that officials allegedly tried to cover up.

While six police officers were seated in the car, after a departure drink, a policewoman therefore targeted the colleague who was driving the vehicle and was not alcoholic at the time of the facts.

They try to hide the accident

The latter lost control of the car, which crashed into several vehicles parked in a street. The accident did not cause any injuries. The six officials then left the scene after trying to hide their blunder.

According to La Voix du Nord, the policewoman, placed under judicial supervision with a ban on carrying a weapon, was brought before the Lille prosecutor’s office, she is being prosecuted for willful violence with a weapon without ITT and endangering the life of others. She was summoned to court during a hearing in January 2022. Two other of her colleagues will also appear, for hit-and-run and aiding and abetting hit-and-run.

“As soon as there is an incident involving the police, there is a double investigation, judicial and administrative. This is the case here, ”said Jean-François Papineau, zonal director of public security (DZSP).
