Riot police had to use water cannons as German thugs sought to attack West Ham fans after their Europa League clash.
The incident began after Eintracht Frankfurt fans invaded the pitch full time following the Europa League semi-final victory.
The Hammers players had to be escorted off the pitch by police after the game at Deutsche Bank Park.
West Ham lost 1-0 on the night to a hostile crowd, and 3-1 on aggregate.
Aaron Cresswell was sent off, before Rafael Borre scored the only goal of the night.
Hammers boss David Moyes was later fired after throwing a ball in the direction of a ball boy in frustration as his side’s European dreams came to an end.
According to the Sun, things started to turn sour after the game with Frankfurt fans seen throwing bottles and objects at police while celebrating their victory.
Trouble started on Berliner Strasse, near Frankfurter Romer town hall, when 1,000 fans charged towards the main station.

About 2,500 ticketless West Ham fans had gathered in a large group near the station to watch the semi-final second leg, many of them at O’Reillys Irish Bar.
As Frankfurt hooligans approached them outside the pub, which is located opposite the station, police rushed in to try and stop the unrest, but were pelted with bottles and other missiles.
Police had praised West Ham fans for their behavior and were forced to apologize for the actions of the Frankfurt ultras following several attacks over the past two days.
A total of 30 arrests were made by the police, with the majority of nationalities being German.
The Ultras are believed to have dressed in black and wore face masks, and also attacked Hammers supporters at Irish pub Waxy’s the night before, resulting in a fan being sent to hospital.
