Police find 3-month-old baby Brandon Cuellar abducted from his grandmother’s home in San Jose, California

The child was reunited with his mother on Tuesday and taken to a local hospital for preventive evaluation, the San Jose Police Department said. in a tweet.
“A million thanks to everyone who helped,” police said later. add“A lot of us are fathers, mothers, we weren’t going to give up until we found it.”

Brandon’s grandmother was watching him while his mother was at work when he was kidnapped, police say.

The grandmother took the child inside her flat and came out for a few moments to unload groceries, police said. While the baby was alone, a man entered the apartment and took the child away, they said.

Police released surveillance video showing a man walking down a sidewalk with a covered car seat, which investigators believe was holding the child.

Police did not immediately say whether any of the suspects in custody were the same person in those images.

The suspect previously described by police appeared to be a stranger, and neither the grandmother nor the baby’s mother recognized the man, Sgt. Christian Camarillo said Monday, before Brandon was located. The child’s father is incarcerated, he said.

“Anyone who is a mother or a father, you love nothing more than you love your child,” Camarillo said.

A Endangered Disappearance Notice was activated by the California Highway Patrol, but no Amber Alert was issued because police had no information about a suspect’s vehicle or license plate, Camarillo said.
