UVALDE, TEXAS — A traffic accident in Texas on Wednesday night killed two people and injured 10, police said.
Uvalde authorities said the crash happened around 6:30 p.m. on Highway 90 near downtown Uvalde, KSAT-TV reported.
Border Patrol agents reportedly saw a black truck speeding down the highway before hitting an 18-wheeler and another vehicle.
The dead and injured were in the passenger truck, said police, who closed the intersection while the Ministry of Public Security opened an investigation.
Uvalde was the site of a May 24 school shooting at Robb Elementary School where a gunman killed two teachers and 19 students with an AR-15 type rifle in a fourth grade classroom.
