A man has been arrested on suspicion of involvement in a plot to assassinate Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Polish prosecutors said.
The man, a Polish citizen identified only as Paweł K., was arrested in Poland. Ukraine provided information leading to his arrest.
“The arrested person was accused of having signaled his desire to act on behalf of foreign intelligence against the Republic of Poland,” said a press release from the Polish National Prosecutor’s Office. “This act is punishable by imprisonment of up to 8 years.”
