Podcast: A homeless community that couldn’t last

A small, tight-knit community has sprung up inside an abandoned building in Los Angeles’ Koreatown. The people who took refuge there felt lucky. In a city where homeless people have to set up camps wherever they can – in parks, on sidewalks, under freeway overpasses – this old building offered a real sense of home.

But the people who lived there knew their community could not last.
