PM Narendra Modi will launch PM Gatishakti

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to launch the PM GatiShakti-National Master Plan on Wednesday, which seeks to address the problem of lack of coordination between different agencies by institutionalizing holistic planning for multimodal connectivity. The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) previously said the GatiShakti project would break down ministerial silos and institutionalize holistic planning for stakeholders in large infrastructure projects.

“On the auspicious occasion of Maha Ashtami, tomorrow October 13 at 11 am, PM GatiShakti – National Master Plan for Multimodal Connectivity will be launched. Here are details on why this initiative is special,” Modi said in a brief. tweet.

GatiShakti is based on the six pillars – comprehensiveness, prioritization, optimization, synchronization and being analytical and dynamic, the PMO said. It will generate large-scale employment opportunities, reduce logistics costs, improve supply chains and make local products competitive on a global scale, he added.

The projects will now be designed and executed with a common vision and will integrate the infrastructure projects of various ministries and state governments like Bharatmala, Sagarmala and Inland Waterways. Economic zones such as textile clusters, pharmaceutical clusters, defense corridors, electronic parks, industrial corridors, fisheries clusters and agricultural areas will be covered to improve connectivity and make Indian businesses more competitive, said the PMO.
