Pm Flags Off Vande Bharat Express, Inaugurates Phase I of Ahmedabad Metro Project

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express train, inaugurate Phase I of Ahmedabad Metro Railway Project and also launch various projects worth Rs 7,200 crore on the second day of his visit to Gujarat on Friday. Modi will depart the Vande Bharat Express from Gandhinagar Capital Railway Station around 10:30 a.m. He will take a train ride from Gandhinagar to Kalupur Railway Station in Ahmedabad. From Kalupur Railway Station, the Prime Minister will inaugurate Phase 1 of the Ahmedabad Metro project, completed at a cost of Rs 12,925 crore, a statement from the state government said.

In the evening, the PM will reach Ambaji town in Banaskantha district to launch various projects worth Rs 7,200 crore.

# Prime Minister Modi raises the flag from the Vande Bharat Express train in Gandhinagar. Gujarat Governor Acharya Devvrat, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel are also present.

The train will offer passengers an airplane-like travel experience and advanced safety features including Kavach technology, a locally developed train collision avoidance system, an official said.
