Piers Morgan sparks outrage by saying Netanyahu ‘should not be responsible for Gaza’ | World | News

Pier Morgan sparked outrage after claiming Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu “should not be in charge of Gaza” if Hamas is defeated.

The TalkTV host shared his views on Piers Morgan Uncensored when he questioned the Israeli Prime Minister’s plans to occupy Gaza following the bombings.

The comment comes after Mr Netanyahu said Israel would likely retain its “security responsibility” over the Gaza Strip for some time after its war with Israel. Hamas ends.

Mr Morgan said: “This means that Netanyahu plans to completely occupy Gaza for an indefinite period. Long after the bombings, the bloodshed was over. For me, this is a huge error of judgment. Our calculations indicate that more than 10,000 Palestinians have already died since October 7.

“Ten thousand grieving families will accuse Israel and Netanyahu of destroying their lives. And as the bombings intensify, their furious malice will surely spread, and there will no longer be security or a fair path for the Palestinian people to live under the Israeli heel. Surely Netanyahu must know that.

“Israel is working to eliminate Hamas after what it did to its people. But what happens next will change the course of history. The Palestinians need new leaders who accept a Jewish state.

“Israel is a new leader who recognizes that Palestinians also deserve a state and the same human rights as Israelis. Netanyahu divided and conquered.

“He supported Hamas to divide the Palestinians with now catastrophic consequences. Frankly, I don’t know who should control Gaza when or if Hamas is wiped out. But I know it can’t be Benjamin Netanyahu.”

Social media users disagreed with Mr Morgan’s comments and were quick to question his views.

One user said: “Someone needs to educate themselves @piersmorgan #PiersMorgan and by the way do you condemn Israel? Or you have dual nationality and an agent of the Zionists!

Another said: “The motive for defending Jews during World War II was humanism, just as the motive for defending Palestinians today is humanism. People who are generally humanists, that is, those who also speak out against anti-Semitism, racism, etc., are exactly the same people who speak out against the genocide in Gaza.

“Unfortunately, I see that many of those who defend Israel are people who often do not treat people equally and are only motivated by their own personal interests. The fact is that they are simply fighting for Western supremacy. These are people who do not look at the situation from a humanistic point of view, but only “us against them”, and who will benefit from an alliance.

“These are people who ALWAYS side with the West, regardless of what the West does. Like I said, there is nothing moral about it, and it can only be argued on one and only one premise, namely a purely personal opinion.-premise of service. No one can dispute that.

“This is the sad reality, because it is devoid of any morality. But they are doing it because they are defending the status quo, they are defending Western hegemony, of which the West combined is a huge benefactor. Morality does not has nothing to do with it…@UN lost to the big business lobby and the selfish interests of the people.

In an interview with ABC News, Mr. Netanyahu said: “I think Israel will, for an indefinite period, take responsibility for security. We have seen what happens when we don’t have this security responsibility, what we have is the eruption of Hamas terror on a scale we could not imagine.

The interview also saw Netanyahu admit that he bore some responsibility for the defense fiasco that enabled Hamas to carry out its atrocities on October 7.
