Pieces of chicken cover the road in Tuscaloosa for the second time this year

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (WIAT) – Some say third time is a charm, but Tuscaloosa residents may be hoping that’s not the case for the trucks dumping pieces of chicken on Lurleen Wallace Boulevard.

Monday at 10:27 a.m., the Alabama Department of Transportation tweeted that the left and center southbound lanes on the Hugh Thomas Bridge in Tuscaloosa would be closed due to “a truck carrying chicken guts [that] lost its charge.

At 2:25 p.m., all avenues have been cleared according to ALDOT.

A similar dumping of chicken parts by truck happened earlier this year, on April 26, around the exact location of today’s incident.
