JACKSON, Mississippi (WJTV) – Damage from possible tornadoes tore through central Mississippi on Wednesday, March 30.
The severe storms caused havoc in many areas, downing trees, power lines and damaging homes and businesses. Potential twin tornadoes passed through Hinds County on Wednesday afternoon. The storm caused damage in downtown Jackson.
A Mississippi Braves tweet showed a funnel cloud near Trustmark Park in Pearl.
The storm also caused damage in Yazoo County. In Benton, a house on Route 16 was crushed after a tree fell on it. So far, no injuries have been reported.
Thousands of power outages have been reported in Mississippi due to inclement weather. Homeowners who have suffered damage during inclement weather can report it to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA).
