Recall elections in California that could impeach Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom’s first term are underway.

As of 2:30 p.m. as of 2:30 p.m., more than 102,000 people had voted in person at 255 Los Angeles County polling centers, said Mike Sanchez, spokesperson for the county registrar and recorder.

Sanchez said the vote went well.

“So far, everything is fine,” he said. “All polling centers opened on time and have been serving voters ever since.”
