On Saturday, two accidents on Highway 33 in Kelowna jammed traffic in the afternoon.

The first happened around 2 p.m. on Highway 33 and Roxby Road near Save-On Foods.

Shortly after, at around 2:20 p.m., another incident occurred along Highway 33 a little further north at the intersection of Rutland Road South. It is not known if anyone was injured in the crash.

Traffic did not come to a complete stop as drivers were diverted around the crashes, off Highway 33 northbound.

Police, fire and ambulance services are at the scene of both crashes. One person went to hospital following the rollover accident.

Tow trucks are on site at both accidents.

A witness to the rollover accident said it was caused when a vehicle tried to change lanes while crossing the intersection and hit another car.
