Phillies fan is fed up with Mets fan and throws his phone

This phone is going, going – gone.

A Mets fan’s overzealous celebrations didn’t sit well with a Phillies fan this week at Citizens Bank Park, with the local fan tossing the visiting spectator’s device into the stands.

In a clip currently circulating on social media, the Mets fan is seen cheering in a Pete Alonso jersey, holding his phone to seemingly capture a moment from the game. As the Mets loyalist was walking up the stairs, that’s when the Phillies fan grabbed the phone and threw it.

Although a stadium official quickly approached the Phillies fan in question, the Mets fan, understandably, seemed shocked by the series of blink and miss events that transpired moments before.

The Mets ended their three-game streak in Philadelphia on Wednesday, earning a 9-6 victory. They had won the day before, 2-0.

The Mets will have their home opener Friday in Flushing with an afternoon game against the Diamondbacks.
