Phila., Pa. man accused of enticing child into prostitution

Federal authorities say a Philadelphia man has been accused of using an internet chat app to lure a minor into prostitution.

Louis Goldenberg, 41, faces one count of attempting to entice a minor into prostitution online.

Authorities say last month, Goldenberg began interacting with an undercover agent who posed as a middle-aged woman with a 12-year-old niece on an app.

From last month until the beginning of this week,

Goldenberg sent a message to the undercover agent, continually expressing interest in having sexual contact with the minor. During one of the conversations, Goldenberg pointed out a specific hotel in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey, where he wanted to have sex with the minor. On September 18, 2023, Goldenberg traveled from Pennsylvania to the Mt. Laurel Hotel, where he had a reservation for that evening.

When Goldenberg arrived, he was arrested.

The incitement charge carries ten years to life in prison and a fine of $250,000.

Goldenberg made his first appearance Tuesday and was released on $100,000 unsecured bail.

The public is reminded that charges are charges and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
