Pfizer sets price of Covid drug Paxlovid at $1,400 for five-day course


Pfizer the price of a treatment of its Covid-19 drug Paxlovid to nearly $1,400 when commercial sales begin later this year, more than double what the U.S. government paid.

Pfizer told pharmacies and clinics that will distribute Paxlovid, in a letter dated Wednesday and seen by The Wall Street Journal, that a five-day course of the antiviral treatment would cost $1,390. The US government paid $529.
