Pep Guardiola has joked that Jack Grealish and other Manchester City stars spotted at a party will be fined – because he wasn’t invited.
A video on social media appears to show Grealish being refused entry to a bar in central Manchester.
Riyad Mahrez and Kyle Walker were also spotted outside the venue which comes from a clip shared on TikTok.
It comes after Grealish was disciplined along with team-mate Phil Foden in December for showing up to training in an unfit condition after a night out.
Guardiola, however, insists he has no problem on this occasion and feels the video presents an unfair portrayal of what happened.
The Spaniard, whose side beat Fulham 4-1 in the FA Cup on Saturday, said: “I’m so upset – because they didn’t invite me! I do not like it. I hope next time they can invite me over and make dinner properly at 8 o’clock.
“The video didn’t show exactly what happened – having dinner together, sober, enjoying (the time) with their friends and some of the backroom staff.
“The players know there is a risk when they go out today because of social media but all of them – Riyad, Kyle, Ally (Marland, staff), Jack were perfect. But they will be fined because they didn’t invite me!

When asked if he was frustrated with the way the video depicted the players, Guardiola replied: “In that case, yes.”
Guardiola also played down any sense of urgency over the need to resolve his long-term future.
There are reports that the Spaniard is ready to extend a contract which is due to expire at the end of next season.
Yet the 51-year-old, who won eight major trophies in six years with City, insists there is no rush and the issue is not an immediate priority.
He said: “It’s just as good because we’ve won a lot and we’re winning a lot, that’s why it’s good. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here after six seasons.
“After one, two, three, four, five years, it depends on the results and the results were good, that’s why we continue.
“I still have a one and a half year contract. That’s a lot of time in world football. We see how managers have been sacked this season, not just in England but everywhere. That’s why I’m just thinking about the next game, the next period.
City’s next game will see the Premier League leaders host Brentford on Wednesday.
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus will again be missing due to the injury he suffered recently while on international duty, but Guardiola has revealed the issue isn’t serious.
“Soon it will be ready,” he said. “I spoke with him this morning and he’s feeling good but still not perfect. He’s got a bit of a quibble, muscular. We just have to be careful, be vigilant.
