Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy has pushed back against polls that show his growing disfavor among voters, saying “people are annoyed by my rise.”

Asked by Shannon Bream on “Fox News Sunday” about recent polls showing Ramaswamy more unfavorable, the 2024 White House candidate said: “The truth is a lot of people are annoyed by my rise and think that a 38 year old man is just a 38 year old man. too young to be president of the United States.

Ramaswamy, a billionaire tech entrepreneur, appeared to sneer at Bream’s comment, saying his marketing campaign had drawn “intense criticism” in recent weeks.

“It’s part of the method, so I invite open debate,” Ramaswamy continued, echoing his previous comparison to Founding Father Thomas Jefferson in discussions of his age.

Bream also discussed former President Trump’s commanding lead in a recent GOP primary poll conducted by Fox News, which confirmed that Trump received 60% of the primary Republican vote, compared to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 13% and Ramaswamy with 11%.

Asked about the level of his campaign as he and other GOP candidates struggle to catch up to Trump, Ramaswamy remained confident of success.

“We went from 0.0% to where we are now. I think we are on the right track to win this election,” Ramaswamy said.
