PD: Five more knots found at Windsor construction site | New

WINDSOR, CT (WFSB) – An investigation continues in Windsor after a hangman’s noose was discovered at a construction site earlier this week, but it’s not the only one.

Agents were called to Amazon’s fulfillment center on Kennedy Road on Tuesday following the report that the noose was found hanging from a steel beam on the second floor of the building.

A construction supervisor told police that the site security team had documented the incident, removed and thrown the noose.

Police say the area where the noose was found is not monitored by surveillance cameras and is accessible to hundreds of employees from various companies.

Police said on Wednesday they responded to the site again after a rope was thrown around a beam. Police said it was not a noose.

Then, on Thursday morning, officers were called again to the premises where five additional ropes that “could be interpreted as nooses” were found in various places on different floors of the building.

Police said the ropes were collected as evidence and would undergo testing to identify potential suspects.

Police said that no other message, markings or other form of communication at the facility would provide information that there is an intention or target of these nodes.

“The general contractor for the construction site has been proactive in resolving these incidents and is fully cooperating with the police. On Wednesday morning (04/28) they held a full site security meeting to discuss the initial incident. They also organized an anti-discrimination and anti-discrimination training session with all the employees there, ”the police said in a press release.

In addition, the general contractor offered a reward of $ 5,000 for any information allowing the identification of a person responsible for these incidents.

On Wednesday evening, Amazon’s spokesperson released a statement saying, “Amazon does not tolerate any behavior deemed hateful, racist or discriminatory.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police at (860) 688-5273.
