Paula Jones explodes her rendition of “American Crime Story: Impeachment”

Paula Jones, who sued former President Bill Clinton for sexual harassment and started his impeachment trial in 1998, explains how she is portrayed in the new FX series, “American Crime Story: Impeachment.”

Jones is played by Annaleigh Ashford in the drama, but the real Jones says the portrayal isn’t close to reality.

“Most were inaccurate. It was almost cartoonish, ”Jones told“ Inside Edition ”.

One thing that particularly bothered her: the show’s suggestion that she and her husband sought a contract for a movie or television in exchange for dropping the allegation that Clinton proposed it and had it. exposed his penis in 1991, when he was governor of Arkansas.

“It’s so far from the truth,” she said.

Jones is also upset that the producers did not contact her before filming the show.

“How can they accurately describe someone if they don’t even call them?” ” she asked.

In comparison, Monica Lewinsky, who played by Beanie Feldstein on the series, worked as a producer on the series and offered script notes for scenes depicting actual events.

Jones sued Clinton in 1994, and his attorneys learned of the Clinton and Lewinsky affair as they prepared for the case.

Clinton eventually agreed to settle Jones’ lawsuit for $ 850,000, but said she didn’t see much.

“My lawyers have all the money, I hope they are happy,” she said.

During the interview, which can be viewed below, Jones dismisses the suggestion that she was one of the silent founders of the #MeToo movement.

“I really have nothing to do with the #MeToo movement. They actually have nothing to do with me. I’m just here alone,” she said.
