Paul Heyman references Vince McMahon’s retirement on WWE RAW

Wise Man to the Tribal Chief Paul Heyman apparently referenced Vince McMahon’s departure to WWE on Monday Night RAW.

This week’s edition of the red show started with a fight between Logan Paul and The Miz, followed by an in-ring promo from The Bloodline. Roman Reigns, flanked by The Usos and Paul Heyman, entered with a thunderous ovation, which intensified when The Tribal Chief took the microphone. Reigns asked the WWE Universe to recognize him, then decided he didn’t want to talk anymore.

The undisputed WWE Universal Champion then passed the mic to Paul Heyman, who began his own introduction. As Heyman spoke, the microphone cut out and continued to do so whenever Heyman said a word. This annoyed the sage, who pointed out to the New York crowd that the sound operator had to be from New Jersey.

Heyman then stated that he wanted the name of the sound operator and mentioned that he would be the next to leave WWE. It was most likely a subtle reference to Vince McMahon leaving on Friday.

“We want your name, you’re next out,” Heyman said.

It will be interesting to see how WWE handles McMahon’s departure going forward. You can read more about the former CEO by clicking here.
