Lately, we can’t buy a rainy day! We had an embarrassing 0.89″ for the month of May at Huntsville International Airport. That’s over two inches below where we should be at this time of the month. We are about to solve this problem!

Here are your chances of rain over the next seven days. Sunday seems to be wet here with a cold front in the area. This same front will stagnate across the region, keeping the chance of rain high in the Tennessee Valley.

Your rainfall totals could significantly reduce our deficit for the month. The Weather Prediction Center (WPC) says northern Alabama will receive up to three inches of rain over the next seven days. That would solve the deficit before it gets to Memorial Day. We’ll see! One thing is certain, we will be entitled to a short break in the heat next week!
