Passers-by provide medical aid to the driver on Leverett Connector during the morning commute

There was no update on the person’s condition.

Commuters sprang into action Tuesday morning when they saw another driver suffering a medical incident on the Leverett Connector.

Around 6:45 a.m., drivers called 911 to report that a driver was apparently having a medical incident, according to state police. Bystanders provided medical aid to the individual until state police and EMS arrived on the scene and the person was transported to a local hospital.

Video from the scene appears to show numerous cars stopped and drivers out of their vehicles, trying to help and direct traffic.

Police did not provide an update on the individual’s condition.
